THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (ON AND OFF STREET CONSOLIDATION ORDERS 2007) AMENDMENT ORDERS 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council has made amendments to the above named Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and those amendments will:
that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council has made amendments to the above named Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and those amendments will:
1. amend The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Off Street Designated Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2007 by including payment by electronic methods;

2. introduce electric vehicle parking spaces on car parks in Bury at Trinity Street, Foundry Street, Market Car Park, Castle Car Park and Parsons Lane and also in Ramsbottom at Prince Street and Prestwich at Fairfax Road;

3. amend The Metropolitan Borough of Bury (On Street Designated Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2007 by including payment by electronic methods;

4. delete reference to the on street parking places at Butcher Lane and Chapel Street from the Schedule to the Order;

5. change the on street parking places at Bank Street from Charge Zone A to Charge Zone F.

A copy of the Orders (including the exemptions contained within them), which come into operation on 23 June 2017, a plan showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Orders may be inspected at the reception desk at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury during normal office hours. If you wish to question the validity of the Orders or any provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred within the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, you may within 6 weeks of 23 June 2017, apply to the High Court for that purpose. THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BACK MILNER AVENUE/BACK WALMERSLEY ROAD EAST/BACK HORNBY STREET/BACK BACK WALMERSLEY ROAD WEST, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Back Walmersley Road West, Bury - between Birley Street and Monmouth Avenue
The reason for the proposed order is to enable telecommunications/broadband works
to be carried out.
The alternative route will be via local streets to be signed on site.
The Order comes into operation on Monday 26 June 2017 and shall remain in force
for a period of up to 2 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is
approximately 3 weeks.
