ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 7, WHITEFHCLD) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2018 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State has approved that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury may continue in force until 16 February 2020 the above Order which was made on 08 August 2018 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which is as follows:-

To prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along Public Footpath 7, Whitefield -from Public Footpath 6, Whitefield in a westerly direction to the boundary fence of Castlebrook High School

The reason for the extension is to protect the public from an unsafe bridge structure

and allow remedial works to be carried out to the structure and abutments.

The alternative route is via Public Footpath 6, Whitefield, Public Footpath 89, Bury

Restricted Byway 85 Bury, Parr Lane and Public Footpath 101 Bury and vice versa

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (UN-NAMED SIDE ROAD OFF ROCHDALE ROAD, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding along:-

Un-named side road off Rochdale Road, Bury (carriageway and footway) - between Rochdale Road (side of No.69) and Back Rochdale Road

The reason for the proposed order is to provide a servicing area during construction on adjacent land.

The alternative route will be via Back Rochdale Road, Yarwood Street and Rochdale

Road and via Rochdale Road, York Street and Back Rochdale Road

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 25 February 2019 and shall

remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of

the works is approximately 9 months.
