A FAMILY-RUN frozen yoghurt shop, with chains in Manchester and Prestwich, is coming to Bolton.

The shop, which is set to open early next month, will create 12 jobs and will be based in the "BL1 area", although the owners are currently keeping the exact location under wraps.

Frurt was founded in 2010 as a more healthy alternative to ice cream parlours.

The company also claim to have been the first specialist frozen yoghurt store to open in Manchester.

Bolton's branch will mimic the Prestwich restaurant which is American style self-serve - allowing customers to create their own pots.

The brand prides itself on its healthy and natural ingredients as well as unique recipes.

A spokesman for Frurt said: "By working with the best in the industry, we are able to offer the best frozen yoghurt product on the market.

"We have come up with recipes that caters for a wider customer base. With finest ingredients and unique recipes, we have created a delicious and healthy treat for all to enjoy. We offer a great variety of yoghurts, toppings, smoothies and hot and cold beverages.

"Not only are our products fat free, they are low in sugar, low in calories and full of active live cultures. These are a few things which other frozen yoghurt lack and also desserts that often contain artificial ingredients or high calories from fat and sugar.

"Our brand is original and fun, with each store having its bespoke decor and design."
