DINOSAUR super fans have just one week left to complete their hunt and collect points as part of Liverpool One's Dinosaurs Unleashed experience.

The interactive game, which allows users to hatch, feed and train dinosaurs via an augmented reality app, will come to a close on June 2 following a 10-week dinosaur ‘invasion’ at the shopping centre.

And now, youngsters from across the region are being urged to climb as high as they can on the leader board and help their area come out on top.

Would-be palaeontologists in Liverpool are currently soaring ahead, with the city’s players totting up an impressive 99,438 points.

Wirral and Warrington follow close behind, scoring 53,323 and 35,156, respectively.

To collect points, users of the app hatch their dinosaurs at Liverpool One and are then able to feed and train them, as well as take them up on to ‘Chavassic Park’ to the ‘battle arena’.

Donna Howitt, Marketing Director at Liverpool One, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to Dinosaurs Unleashed and it’s been fantastic to see families coming together to enjoy the experience.

“So many children – and grown-ups – have really thrown themselves into the app, which is evident from looking at the high scores. We’re hoping that, during this last week, we’ll see some healthy competition as children try and make their way to the top of the leader board.”

To download the app, search for ‘Discover at Liverpool ONE’ on the App Store or Google Play.
