FANCY a spot of pampering and shopping without leaving the comfort of your own home?

Mary Kay may not be a household name in the UK but, over the pond, it is a well-established brand.

With more than 3 million consultants worldwide, part of the business sees beauty experts hold free consultations at women's homes.

Natasha Mooney travels across the North West — as well as holding appointments at her Preston home — to treat ladies to a spot of beautifying.

Natasha discovered Mary Kay in 2012 while working in the US and has never looked back.

She said: "I got involved with the company because I was having some acne troubles that I couldn't get rid of.

"I went to visit a friend in another state who told me she knew what would cure my skin. I was very sceptical about going to a Mary Kay event as I felt that I would be talked into trying out another skincare system and so many others had failed to do the job as promised."

Natasha was delighted with the results and even started working for the company, launched in Dallas, Texas, in 1963 by entrepreneur Mary Kay Ash.

Natasha said: "I fell in love with the company when I realised there are no targets or pressure to sell products.

"It's a personal development programme and people join us for many different reasons — products at discount, a part time hobby, an opportunity to make new friends, a confidence booster or because they are sick and tired of being stuck in a dead end job."

The appointment sees friendly and knowledgeable Natasha showcase products including her must-have — the Timewise Miracle Set.

Ladies use the products to cleanse their own skin, giving themselves a mini-facial, and then applying make-up to create a specific look.

My friend Kamila Langowska, aged 21, who lives in Prestwich, and I opted for Dash Out the Door — a speedy makeover for women who want a fabulous look on the go.

Natasha said: "Feedback from customers has always been very positive and I find that, once I have found the right products for their skin care needs, they will stay with me and I am extremely grateful for their loyalty towards me and the brand."
