LIVE from Worktown's popular monthly modern jazz night returns with a spring programme to banish the winter blues.
The season of contemporary jazz and blues launches on Sunday at Lincoln's Bar and Grill in Mawdsley Street, Bolton.
Performing will be Modjango, Gypsy Swing Jazz band in the Manouche style which will see the return of Roy and Paul Gregory who brought Paris to Bolton last year with their fast-moving tribute to Django Reinhardt and other Left Bank and modern jazz guitar geniuses.
On Sunday, February 25, Cuba Vida, with its Latin jazz will take to the stage with a blast of Brazilian and Cuban beats from Jesus Moreau Batallan on keyboard and vocals, Enrico Marchesi on flugelhorn, and Pete Williams — percussion.
On March 18, Jeremy Sassoon Trio -Suave and urbane jazz sophistication will celebrate an impressive range of classic and contemporary standards led by Jeremy Sassoon on keyboard and vocals.
Doors open at 7.15 pm.
