THE glad rags are being prepared as Rod Stewart gets ready for his show in Bolton this summer.

The rocker will bring his Live in Concert tour to the University of Bolton Stadium on Friday, June 14, the final date in a series of concerts to be held at football stadiums around the UK.

For those not lucky enough to win tickets to see the rock legend in Bolton, there are still some available from ticketmaster.co.uk

The tour will be Rod’s first in three years and will feature many classic hits plus songs from his new album — his 30th studio offering — Blood Red Roses.

It is thought Rod last visited Bolton as a member of the group Steampacket.

One of the most successful singers of all time, Rod Stewart has sold more than 200 million records worldwide in a career that spans six decades.

Now 74, he has had more than 30 hit singles in the UK and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In 2016, he officially became Sir Rod Stewart after being knighted by Prince William at Buckingham Palace for his services to music and charity.
