BOLTON band Jordan Allen have released the music video for their comeback single.

Never Give it Up is the first song the band has recorded since changing the lineup earlier this year.

At the end of last year, guitarist Danny Quin and drummer Nathan Howard left the band.

Frontman Jordan and bassist Kieran Loughran recruited twins Cam and Kurt Maunder on guitar, as well as Ailis Mackay on drums.

To go with the new lineup, the band has also changed its musical direction with the new single having more of a post-punk sound than previous releases Synchronised and Naked.

Jordan said: “It finally feels like we’ve nailed where I want to be and how I want to sound.

“It got to the point where were just being told what we couldn’t do, with music, with booking shows and now it finally feels like I have control again and I’ve never felt as confident about material I’ve written.

“’Never Give It Up’ seems like the perfect track to come back with, because it sums up the grit and desire we’ve had to have in these last eight months.

“It’s been one of the hardest times of my life not being able to do what I love most and I’m so glad to be back.

“We’ve worked so hard to get back here and we are fiercely independent now, we’re doing it all ourselves.

“I just want to thank everyone that supported us and didn’t let us quit when it got tough.”

The music video premiered on Youtube at 7pm last night.

It was directed by Manchester-based videographer Johnboy Wilson.

The band are also playing a sold out gig at 550-capacity Manchester venue Gorilla next month and are due to announce an “even bigger” headline show in the coming weeks.

Never Give it Up is available to download on iTunes. It can also be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.
