DIRECTOR of The Met David Agnew believes this year’s format has achieved the “perfect balance”, after three years of Ramsbottom Festival.
The event reached its full capacity of 3,500 by 7.30pm on Saturday, with more than 600 revellers attending all three days — so it should break even.
David said his personal highlight was seeing the crowds “blown away” by bands like Canadian roots group Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys. He added: “We're overwhelmed by the support Ramsbottom Festival has received from both new and previous audiences.
"It has taken us three years to get there but the balance of high quality music acts and a great variety of family entertainment and activities was perfect this time round.
“Championing new and little-heard music and giving bands exposure is what The Met seeks to do and it was fantastic to hear people raving about artists they had not heard before. We will keep adding surprises.”
