A BOLTON firm has been named as the best small and medium sized enterprise to work for in a national competition.

Love Energy Savings, an energy comparison website, claimed the gong at the SME Awards held at Grosvenor House in London.

The firm says it hopes the award will attract more people to work with the company, based in Springfield Court.

Bosses added that they hope the company will put Bolton on the map as a great place to work, with Love Energy Savings up there with household names such as AO.com and Warburtons.

Phil Foster, managing director of Love Energy Savings, said: "This award symbolises just how much time and effort we have been putting into employee engagement over the last 12 months.

"Growing at such a rapid rate, and taking on three times as many staff, can result in challenges for many businesses, but winning the Best SME to Work In category shows just how successful we have been."

"The happiness of our staff is a top priority at Love Energy Savings with us firmly believing that a happy workforce leads to greater customer satisfaction.

"We are incredibly excited for the next chapter in the Love Energy Savings story and we hope to recruit more talented employees to make that journey with us."

It comes at a time of growth for the firm, which received £4.5million from NVM Private Equity last year which has helped the business achieve 65 per cent organic growth in 2015-16 with a £10million turnover forecast for 2017.

Bosses also say its workforce has tripled since its move to its new Springfield Court offices in April this year.
