WITH reference to the letter “Why fracking is not good for the planet” Mrs F Henderson (March 30)

I must take issue with Mrs Henderson with regards to her comment concerning ‘climate change.’ When man-made climate change is telling us we cannot go on polluting our planet. I would like to ask Mrs Henderson if she has the scientific evidence to back up her statement.

And by that I mean “empirical”, (independently) peer reviewed scientific evidence? That is hard scientific evidence that is gathered and open to independent testing using the tried and tested scientific method) that ‘proves’ human activity is ‘directly’ causing climate change.

Computer models, or politicised evidence put forward by governmental organisations with specific agendas to push such as the UN’s IPCC (United Nations Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change) or stories made up by the green movement is not empirical evidence and does not stand up to the rigours and scrutiny of the scientific method.

There is a lot of misinformation out there in regards to climate change and its causes, none of it based on science.

Most of this propaganda is promulgated by those with vested interests. Government organisations scientific organisations such as the Climate Research Unit, University of East Anglia (remember Climate Gate) who rely on politicians and governments for their funding and ultimate survival and are thus not independent and are open to coercion.

And of course let us not forget the ‘cultural Marxists’, as championed by Mrs Henderson, the “green” movement. They won’t stop with their crusades until everyone’s unemployed and society has reverted back to a “stone age” style of existence.
