BAMBINOS nursery in Bury celebrated its one year anniversary last month.

The nursery in Manchester Road, Bury had a party with a barbecue and buffet for parents and carers to thank them for their support.

Hayley Taggart said: "After a difficult start and a bit of an uphill struggle we made it to our first year anniversary. Wow, what a year!

"Bambinos is such a happy place to be. I want to credit this nursery and pay tribute to the dedication and support of my fantastic staff, and all our brilliant little Bambinos, and lots of help and encouragement from all our parents, family and friends.

"At Bambinos, we pride ourselves on excellent care, our homely, family orientated safe environment and an individual tailored experience. As we dream, plan and grow, we look forward to many more exciting anniversaries to come!"

Cllr Tamoor Tariq, who supported Hayley in her application to turn the property into a nursery for under fives, attended the anniversary celebration.

He said: "Congratulations to my constituent Hayley Taggart on the 1st Anniversary since the opening of Bambino Nursery on Manchester Rd in my ward. A pleasure to be part of the celebrations today!

She's not had the easiest ride with setting this up initially, but what a thriving nursery it's has become, not surprised it's so popular with the local community."

The Mayor of Bury was also in attendance to show support for the one-year-old business.

Cllr Dorothy Gunther wrote to Hayley Taggart to say: "I was very pleased to attend the first anniversary of Bambinos Nursery, and would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome I received and the excellent refreshments.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and was delighted to meet you all. Well done on all your hard work in making it such a fabulous nursery and a lovely environment for the children.

"Thank you once again for inviting me to join you; I was really glad to be able to do so and send my very best wishes for your continued success."
