STUDENTS put on their aprons and put the kettle on for the world’s biggest coffee morning.
Catering studies students at Bury College baked a selection of delicious cakes and served tea and coffee at the Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Catering student Verity Kay, from Bury, said: “I have really enjoyed today it was great to serve different people of the college and work closely with the chef.”
As well as fundraising on campus, the students also baked desserts, which were then sold at the Mill Gate to raise more funds for the charity.
Cakes were supplied to Ramsbottom business Bang and Olufsen, who sold them on to its customers.
Paul Braithwaite, one of the Directors of the company said: “The Catering students did an excellent job and were really professional. The whole fundraising event was a huge success.”
Altogether, the students managed to raise more than £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
