A MAN who disappeared after he was involved in a car crash and assaulted by four men has been found.

Stephen Haworth, from Bury, had not been seen since Wednesday last week when the incident happened.

The 29-year-old was riding his moped at the junction of Walnut Avenue and Alder Avenue at around 12.20pm on the day of his disappearance when he was involved in a collision with a black Ford Escort.

Four men got out of the car and assaulted him and an ambulance was called to the scene.

When paramedics arrived, Mr Haworth had already left the scene in a large silver 4x4 before the emergency services arrived.

But on Wednesday morning, officers at Greater Manchester Police confirmed that Mr Haworth had been found.
