SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her first blog of 2018

HAPPY New Year to you all on behalf of myself and Team SuperJosh.

A new year, with lots of exciting events planned to help support our families.

I want to start by saying a massive thank you to our patron, Sacha Lord-Marchionne, and everyone at The Warehouse Project who donated during the #WHP17 season raising a huge total of £12,440.21 to help our families — absolutely incredible!

With out everyone's amazing support and donations, we simply wouldn't be able to help our families.

One example of our help over the Christmas period was for four-year-old Theo who has a brain tumour.

Gordon, from Bespoke Landscapes, said: "The brief was to prepare an area of the back garden so that play equipment could be installed. Myself, Grant and Jason turned up early on Saturday at 8am to the worst weather imaginable for digging out a lawn!

The weather then changed . . . it got worse, but we persisted as we couldn’t get any wetter!

If all I have to do to make someone’s life better is to dig a hole (a very big and perfectly square hole) then hand me the spade."

Thank you to Gordon and his team, Theo's mum, Natalie, was over the moon — "it meant everything that the landscapers came and did the ground levelling for Theo's Christmas castle it was last minute and rough weather, but the lads did the job in a day and it was perfect for the play area to be installed.

"It means so much to have the support of dawn and her amazing charity who are making a difference to my sons quality of life."
