THERE were goals galore late on as Colne claimed three points with a 4-3 win at Radcliffe.

Boro looked to have rescued a point when Louis Myers scored to make it 3-3 with two minutes left on the clock.

But a fourth Colne goal saw them leave Neuven Park victorious.

Colne took an early lead with just seven minutes gone, Connor Hughes squaring the ball across to an unmarked Harry Pratt, who had no problem converting his chance.

James Hooper almost got the Boro level within a few minutes but his shot was narrowly off target.

Colne doubled their lead when Alex Curran found himself with enough space to get his shot away and just out of reach of Boro keeper Connor Keane.

Ten minutes before half time, Ollie Crankshaw almost walked the ball into the Boro goal when he battled his way through Radcliffe’s defence and rounded the keeper, but his shot went just wide.

Late in the half the game was end-to-end with Boro going close via James Daniels who was denied by Hakan Burton and then at the other end Keane had to be on his toes to stop Colne from going three goals up.

Two goals in arrears as the second half got underway, Boro took just three minutes of the second half to pull one back when Hooper got on the end of a nice flick over a defender and left the keeper with no chance.

A couple minutes later Boro had a chance to level the game when Matthew Russell curled a shot towards goal but Burton made a good save to keep the visitors in front.

At the other end, Keane was kept busy and a number of good saves meant Boro were still in with a shout.

Daniels rose highest to reach a cross but his header was well saved by Burton with just under 20 minutes left.

But, after keeping Radcliffe just a goal down for so long, Keane was finally beaten as the visitors restored their two-goal lead as Ollie Crankshaw kept his composure to tuck away his chance.

Then with five minutes to go it was goals galore.

Callum Nicholas pulled a goal back in the 85th minute after the Colne defenders and keeper could not stop the ball from crossing the line despite their best efforts.

Boro levelled the score in the 88th minute, Myers heading home after a dangerous ball into the box.

But less than a minute later the visitors went back in front when Crankshaw caught the Boro defenders out and Keane could not rescue his side this time, the shot finding the back of the net to secure victory for the visitors.
