A TRAVELLERS' camp that was set up at a Radcliffe car park has been moved on by police.
The camp of more than seven caravans was established in Green Street at the site of the old Radcliffe Pool and Fitness Centre just over one week ago.
Following complaints from residents, officers visited the site over the weekend and successfully moved the travellers on.
A post on GMP Radcliffe's Twitter page read: "Just a quick update. At the request of residents, we spoke with the travellers at the old baths car park and asked them politely if they could set up elsewhere.
"No issues caused and they have moved on."
Bury Council had to apply for a court order to evict travellers from the same site over the Christmas period after members of the public were attacked by a dog associated with the camp. The dog was seized by the police.
