VINTAGE buses and coaches will roll into Bury this weekend as part of a celebration of the town's transport history.
Bury Transport Museum will showcase a range of vehicles that served the borough throughout the 20th century.
The iconic coaches that once operated for Yelloway and Ellen Smith are expected to feature, as well as examples from municipal operators Bury Corporation, Ramsbottom Corporation, Manchester Corporation, GM Buses and Ribble Motor Services, among others.
Visitors are invited to observe the free display on Saturday and Sunday.
As well as vehicle displays, the museum, which is part of the East Lancashire Railway, will host a collectors’ fair of transport memorabilia.
A free vintage bus service will also run between Bury Bolton Street Station and Ramsbottom Station.
Entry to the Bury Transport Museum is free but visitors are asked to give a voluntary donation where possible.
