YOUTHS have been urged to stop starting fires in Bury after crews were called to yet another incident.
Police covering the Bury West area have received reports of young people starting fires in Dow Lane Country Park, in Starling.
A warning has been issued to stop these unnecessary incidents at a time when the fire service is already stretched, responding to moorland blazes at Winter Hill and Stalybridge.
Officers have urged parents to be aware of where their children are.
We have been receiving reports of young people setting fires in Dow Lane Park. This is no laughing matter and considering the fire service is already stretched this needs to STOP NOW. Do you know where your kids are?😠Any info ring 101 pic.twitter.com/YsGhb1a1Nj
