A MAN has been ordered to undertake 100 hours unpaid work after he admitted assaulting a woman on June 6.
At Manchester Magistrate's Court Mohammad Ali, aged 37, of Stainton Road, Radcliffe, was given a community sentence.
He must also participate in a building better relationships programme for 29 days and rehabilitation activities for 16 days.
The court made a restraining order banning Ali from contacting his victim or her family and he must also pay £170 in costs and charges.
MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for 28 weeks after he twice visited a woman in breach of a restraining order.
Peter Mullany, aged 35, of Grange Grove, Whitefield, admitted committing the offences on May 31 and June 23.
He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge.
A MOTORIST caught without a licence or insurance had been banned from driving for six months.
Manchester magistrates heard how Mahdi Husseini, aged 22, of Glendevon Place, Whitefield, drove a Vauxhall Corsa on Greyhound Drive, Salford, on June 7.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.
A FINE of £440 has been handed to a teenager who was caught driving without insurance.
Manchester magistrates heard how Alexander Dickson, aged 19, of Glenvale Close, Radcliffe, committed the offence on March 18 when he drove a Ford Focus of Parsonage Street, Bury.
He pleaded guilty, six penalty points were added to his licence and he was ordered to pay £129 in costs and charges.
DRIVING without a licence or insurance has resulted in a motorist being fined £770.
The case against Kevin Hall, aged 21, of Toon Crescent, Bury, was proved at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Hall was caught driving a Fiat Punto on Collen Crescent, Bury, on February 18.
In addition to the fine, he was banned from applying for a driving licence for six months and was ordered to pay £151 in costs and charges.
A DRINK driver has been banned from holding a licence for 18 months.
At Manchester Magistrates' Court Heather Higson, aged 53, of The Meadows, Prestwich, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a VW Polo on Bury Old Road, Prestwich, on June 2.
She was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.
