The founder of start-up packaging firm The Hub has been shortlisted for the 2018 ‘Great British Entrepreneur Awards’ organised by Nat West Bank. Danny Leigh is a finalist in the category of Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year.

Danny started The Hub in the spare bedroom of his home in Bolton with just three members of staff. In less than two years the company has grown to a prominent status in the food and drink packaging marketplace. Their customers range from start-ups to multiple food retail outlets.

Danny puts The Hub’s success down to teamwork and staying focused as the business expanded. He explains:

”I always had a clear vision of what I wanted The Hub to be and I was lucky enough to have the support of talented people that share my passion. To be nominated for this award is an honour and we’re all excited to know that we’re making the right impression as a company. ”

Now in its sixth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards has celebrated some amazing entrepreneurs over the years, many of whom are now household names. Past winners include David Buttress of Just Eat, Julie Deane OBE of The Cambridge Satchel Company, James Watt of BrewDog and most recently, Hannah and Sophie Pycroft of Spectrum Collections.

The winners will be announced in November
