A UK-based charity which provides free kidney dialysis treatment for the poor in Pakistan has received a £550 boost, courtesy of Bury fundraisers.
The Jinnah Day Care Centre in Alfred Street was the venue for a charity event aimed at collecting cash for the Noor Foundation UK.
Activities included face painting, toy stalls, hot food, bric a brac, tombola and a raffle swelled the proceeds.
Safina Nadeem, who along with Nabeela Ali and Samina Iqbal organised the event, said: "One of the people on the Jinnah committee is linked to the Noor Foundation and he asked if we could organise fundraising. A lot of people attended and we raised around £550."
