FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a kitten that got its head trapped in some kitchen units.
Crews were called to the incident at a property in Birkenhills Drive, in Deane, by the RSPCA at about 8.20pm last night.
The kitten had climbed underneath the sink but had then got its head stuck in a hole.
Firefighters worked for around an hour and eventually managed to cut the kitten out.
Chris Wilcox, watch manager at Bolton Central Fire Station, said: "There was a hole in the back of the unit and it had got in there and got its head stuck.
"It took quite a lot of doing to get it out. We gradually cut a hole next to it and took parts of the unit out because the kitten was completely wedged in."
