A MAN has been ordered to do 200 hours unpaid work after he assaulted a woman and damaged her coffee table on September 26.

At Manchester Magistrates' Court Rhys Fletcher, aged 26, of Regent Street, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offences and was ordered to participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £170 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a teenager to be electronically tagged after he admitted handling a stolen bike and found him guilty of going equipped to steal on April 1. Marcus Labrow, aged 18, of Morley Street, Bury, was made subject to a 9pm to 7am curfew for three months, must do 100 hours unpaid work, participate in 25 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £185 in costs and charges.

A PENSIONER who failed to stop after being involved in a collision with a VW Passat on Chapel Street, Tottington, on July 9, has been banned from driving for six months and told to do 150 hours unpaid work.

Thomas Foran, aged 67, of Cotswold Crescent, Bury, pleaded guilty to driving without care and failing to stop. Manchester magistrates also ordered him to pay £170 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN has been fined £100 by Manchester magistrates after she admitted harassing a woman by sending numerous text messages and going to her home.

Aleksandra Mucha, aged 36, of Brierley Street, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offences in August and September.

She was ordered to participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities, pay an £85 victim surcharge and a restraining order was made banning her from contacting her victim or going to Orchid Drive, Bury.

MANCHESTER magistrates have jailed a man for eight weeks after he repeatedly breached a restraining order banning him from contacting a woman.

Alan Timperley, aged 40, of Mather Street, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing the most recent offence on August 31. He was also ordered to pay £115 in a victim surcharge.
