FANS of vintage and retro styles are in for a treat next month as the first fair of its kind arrives in town.

Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair will swing into town with stalls full of clothes, accessories and bric-a-brac from the 1940s to the 1990s.

For one stallholder it will be a nice break from her normal routine.

Dawn Howarth, aged 50, from Breightmet has been all over the country with Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair but has never been able to trade in her own town.

Finally, with the refurbished Albert Halls she can.

Mrs Howarth said: “I’ve been trying to get it in Bolton for a long time. We don’t have anything like this in Bolton apart from the antiques fair but this is different.”

Mrs Howarth and her husband Duncan have been selling vintage clothes for years. They used to run Retro Rags in Friargate, Preston for years before joining Lou Lou’s with their stall Tigerfeet.

Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair travels up and down the country giving people the chance to find clothes from days gone by. It began in 2008 in Sheffield and has been going strong ever since.

The event takes place on Sunday, November 4 in the Albert Halls, Bolton Town Hall from 10am to 4pm. Entrance is £2.50.
