HUNDREDS turned out wearing bright colours today as the funeral took place of four-year-old Presley Stockton who drowned in a family swimming pool while on holiday in Tenerife.

The service packed out St Peter's Church in Hindley.

Disney and Paw Patrol characters were among the guests, with crowds spilling outside the packed church and listening via a PA system.

Presley's blue and white coffin was carried in a horse drawn carriage, with white horses wearing blue feathers.

Presley was declared dead by the pool of the four-star Paradise Park Hotel in Los Cristianos in September, despite efforts by an emergency response team to save him.

Presley's parents Kirsty and Pey (Peter) and grandad Mike Jolley, have faced even more tragedy this week with the death of Mike's mum Kathleen on Monday.

Kirsty shared photos of Presley and Kathleen on Facebook with the words 'your guardian angel'.

The family have also had blue silicone bands made for the funeral with Presley's name on them alongside 'sleeping with the angels'.

Donations were made for a charity yet to be chosen by the family.
