PLANS have been submitted to build four new homes in Hawkshaw.
The ‘contemporary’ development is proposed for a site to the east of the village, off Bolton Road, which was previously occupied by the former Bleaklow Hall.
To make way for the two-storey, five-bedroom houses, a vacant bungalow that now stands on the site would also be demolished.
A supplementary planning statement states that the new homes will have open plan lounge and dining areas, as well as 'large glazed doors and windows to maximize views'.
The plans have been lodged with Bury Council by applicant Jeremy Buckley.
