PERFORMING arts pupils from Bury College took to the stage to help Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) send a clear safety message to young people around Halloween and Bonfire Night.
Bury-based Training and Safety Centre was transformed into a stage for GMFRS's Treacle event, set to raise awareness about issues such as drugs, alcohol, homelessness and firework safety.
Actu8 drama students from Bury College performed as extras in the event, with some singing solos, while Accentu8 dance students took part in a 'Thriller' flashmob as the finale.
Rebecca Sutherland, a Community Instructor at GMFRS, said: "This exercise was part of the Treacle campaign that we run each year over the period of Halloween and Bonfire Night. This event was the first of its kind at the training centre.
"All the students worked really hard to a very high standard."
