A COMMUNITY Centre chairman has vowed not to host any more evening events, after a street fight broke out at a family’s baby gender reveal party.

Unsworth Cllr David Jones, who chairs the management committee at Elms Community Centre, said he has taken the decision out of respect for their neighbours.

He said: “It is the first time anything like this has ever happened at the centre and we feel sorry for our neighbours.

“We have agreed not to have anymore evening events out of respect for them."

The Bury Times previously reported that several police officers were called to the "disturbance" in Green Lane on Saturday night.

Police arrested five people and removed them from the scene but they were later released.

The group of people had been attending a gender reveal party — a celebration where either the guests find out the sex of a baby.
