LEADERS in Greater Manchester have confirmed their ambition to halt new cases of HIV in the area within a generation.
Earlier this year Andy Burnham, GM Mayor, set out the ambition to end new cases in 25 years.
On Friday he joined the leaders of the 10 local authorities, including Bolton, to confirm that ambition in front of people living with HIV and Jose M Zuniga, the President of the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care.
A £1.3 million investment will scale up testing opportunities, help with sexual health planning and ensure those who test positive receive the treatment and support they need.
