A VEHICLE was seized after a police pursuit through Hall i' th' Wood and Astley Bridge.
Police cars followed a white Nissan Micra travelling at speeds of more than 60mph in Crompton Way and Blackburn Road in the early hours of this morning.
The driver pulled into the McDonald's drive-thru in Waters Meeting Road the wrong way and then fled on foot.
Officers from Bolton North seized the vehicle shortly before 2am on suspicion of it being stolen.
They tweeted: "Patrols attempted to stop a white Nissan Micra travelling in excess of 60mph.
"The vehicle pulled into McDonald’s drive thru the wrong way and ran off.
"The vehicle was seized on suspicion of being stolen. There was a strong smell of cannabis inside."
