A SINGER and performer from Radcliffe is due to return for the second series of hit TV show All Together Now.

Jessica Cambray, aged 35, will once again star in the singing competition as one of The 100 — a panel of judges headed up by Spice Girl Geri Horner, who co-hosts the show with Rob Beckett.

Married mum-of-two Jessica will also feature in a one-off celebrity special over Christmas which will see famous faces battle it out by performing a range of musical theatre, modern day classics and ballads.

Jessica first appeared on television screens in December last year after producers spotted her YouTube channel and cast her as one of the judges for the first series.

Jessica, who is originally from Radcliffe but now lives in Little Lever, said: "It was such a delight to be asked to return for series two and the celebrity special.

"Series one was amazing to be a part of, so I couldn’t wait to get back in the judging seat. It’s amazing to be part of this incredible show.

"The celebrity special is incredible. Taking to the stage and singing in front of professional is not an easy task."

On the programme, a range of talented performers, both soloists and groups, sing their hearts out on stage, in front of an audience of The 100.

If the judges enjoy the performance, they stand up and join the contestants. The more of The 100 who sing along, the higher the contestant's score.

Former Radcliffe High School and Bury College pupil Jessica said: "The 100 alone are such a talented bunch of people. It's very much like a family.

"We don’t always agree with each other when judging the talent on the stage but we respect each others opinions.

"That’s what’s so good about the show. We don’t all like the same thing in a voice or performance. It makes the show so exciting. What will it take to get all of us on our feet?"

The first series of All Together Now attracted an average of 3.8 million viewers, making it one of the BBC’s most successful new entertainment launches of the past year.

BBC One and Remarkable Television, part of Endemol Shine UK, announced in March that the feel-good Saturday night entertainment show would return for a second series.

Celebrities confirmed for the Christmas special include Gemma Collins, Chris Kamara, Alison Hammond, Laurie Brett, Ben Foden, Amber Davies, Omid Djalili, Sara Pascoe and Tyger Drew-Honey.

Jessica said: "It’s been an absolute pleasure working along such an incredible bunch of people and all the production team behind the scenes who work tirelessly to bring this show to life.

"Hold on to your hats — it’s going to be an explosive season."

All Together Now Celebrities will air on Christmas Eve at 7.15pm on BBC One.

The second series of All Together Now is due to air in early 2019.
