RAMSBOTTOM’S nightlife scene is set to welcome a new addition in the New Year.
Ram Bar will open in the former site of Ramsbottom Flooring, in Bridge Street, at the start of February.
The man behind the operation is Charles Daubney, who runs Monkey House, HOPS and the newly-opened Elephant’s Trunk in Bury town centre.
Mr Daubney, aged 34, says his latest bar will have ‘a European feel’ and will aim to offer customers ‘class for value’.
He added: “I have been looking to get into Ramsbottom for quite a while, but have been waiting for the right place.
“It is more expensive in Ramsbottom than in Bury, which is the wrong way round. I don’t understand why someone should have to pay more than £10 for four pints.”
In addition to world beers, craft beers, and lagers, the bar will also serve coffee and sandwiches during the daytime.
Mr Daubney, who has also worked at Cafe Turin in Tottington in the past, said he was confident the bar would prove a big success with locals.
