A BURY-based software development firm have announced a vital sponsorship deal with a regional sports club to help keep their team on the court.

Kresko Ltd agreed the three-year deal with Bolton Bulls Wheelchair Basketball Club, who recently announced an urgent fundraising appeal.

Over the next three seasons the company will donate minimum of £250 per season to the club to support its annual running costs.

Kresko, who specialise in creating ecommerce websites, mobile applications and website hosting solutions, will also further support the club by aiming to fundraise at least £5,000 per season for the team.

Graeme Lambert, director at Kresko Ltd, said: “We are proud to support Bolton Bulls as the only wheelchair basketball club serving the Bury and Bolton area. Without Bolton Bulls many disabled people in Bury and Bolton would be unable to participate in a sport on a weekly basis and would lose out on a vital social activity. We look forward to supporting Bolton Bulls for the next three years and beyond.”

Bolton Bulls are an inclusive club open to men and women of all ages and feature able bodied players alongside those with disabilities, including cerebral palsy, spina bifida and dyspraxia.

The club holds weekly training sessions at the Smithills Sports Centre from 8.30pm each Thursday.

Steve Aston, club secretary, said: “Bolton Bulls are extremely grateful to Kresko for the support they have offered the club, both in terms of providing financial assistance and offering assistance with our annual fundraising efforts.”
