COMMUTERS faced long delays this morning following a crash on the M61.
One lane was closed following the incident on the motorway's southbound carriageway, close to junction two for the A580 interchange, at about 7am.
The lane has since reopened, although the incident continued to cause several miles of queuing traffic until about 9am.
