IS democracy dead in Bury (General election would 'break the impasse', Bury Times, January 24)?
Having voted to stay in the EU, I still find it galling that whilst 54 per cent of the Bury electorate voted to leave the EU, Bury councillors, and indeed the Bury MPs, appear to have no intention of representing the views of their constituents.
If they do not wish to support the majority decision, isn’t time that they resigned and be replaced by others who still believe in democracy?
