A TEENAGE girl found dead in a derelict building has been named as Sarah Goldman from Prestwich.

Tributes have poured in for the 16-year-old who has been described as "lovely, bright, intelligent and well-mannered."

Ms Goldman is understood to have lived with her family in Prestwich and was a pupil of The King David High School in Crumpsall.

Her body was discovered yesterday morning, 20 minutes after she was reported missing, in a derelict building in Brookside Drive in Kersal.

The cause of her death has yet to be established and police enquiries are ongoing.

A 41-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder but has since been bailed.

In a tribute The King David High School said: "Sarah was a lovely, bright, intelligent and well-mannered pupil and she will be hugely missed by everyone at school."

On social media and Bury Times readers also added their condolences and said their thoughts are with Ms Goldman's family.
