AN investigation into the death of Maggie Smythe continues.
A police presence remains at The Red Bridge pub in Bury Old Road, today.
A huge search operation was launched on Wednesday, January 30, after the 29-year-old mum went missing from her home.
On Friday, February 1, police found a body near Red Lane, on the border between Breightmet and Ainsworth. Detectives believe the body to be that of Maggie.
Floral tributes have been left in Red Lane as police continue to stay at the scene.
This morning, eight police vehicles and a JCB digger have been parked at the site.
Christopher Taylor, aged 39, of Greenroyd Avenue, Breightmet, has been charged with murdering Margaret Jean Smythe on January 26.
