LEON Van Os struck gold for Bolton at the British Senior Wrestling Championships.
He became national Greco-Roman champion at 82kg.
Van Os was one of four Bolton Olympic Wrestling Club athletes to win medals at the event, held at the Y Club in Salford.
Ben Joghi and Wesley Mulder took silver in the 72k and 65k events, respectively, while in the freestyle competition 19-year-old Abdullah Hussain won bronze at 97k.
The club also had Anatoliy Porogovskyy, Rahel Ali and Danny Fisher competing at the prestigious event.
Club coach Lee Meadows said: "It was a great day of wrestling which showcased some tremendously talented athletes from all over the world competing in both disciplines of freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
"It was also pleasing to see such a prestigious tournament being held in the North West of England."
