A WOMAN has been fined after being filmed dumping rubbish in a back alley near her home.
Sofia Younis, of Hurst Street in Pimhole, was caught on CCTV ditching waste in Back Hurst Street on two occasions in June last year.
The 41-year old was given a £75 fixed penalty notice for each offence, but failed to pay them.
She was then fined £400 and ordered to pay a £30 victims surcharge when prosecuted at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on January 24.
Councillor Judith Kelly, cabinet member for corporate affairs and HR, said: “Pimhole is a hot-spot area for fly tipping, but people across the borough are fed up with the actions of irresponsible people who blight our neighbourhoods with litter and fly-tipping.
"We urge anyone who witnesses this behaviour to report it to the council so that we can take action against the perpetrators.”
