A FOLK, singer-songwriter, who shot to fame following a stint on the X-Factor was spotted filming in Bolton yesterday.

Lucy Spraggan, who appeared on the ITV reality show in 2012, was filming a music video for her upcoming album, Today Was A Good Day.

Spraggan was seen filming dressed as an astronaut on the steps of Bolton Town Hall at about 3pm and stopped for a few selfies with fans.

Her entourage including manager, make up artist and cameraman were all on hand to make the music-video magic happen.

Bolton-based film company Sitcom Soldiers, who have previously worked with Will Smith, Microsoft and Boohoo to create music videos and adverts.

She was in Manchester earlier this month at Manchester Cathedral touring with American singer Melissa Etheridge.

Next Spraggan will be embarking on her own 21-date European tour.

Spraggan's tour, named after the new album, starts in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, in April and makes it to the UK in May.

There is no date in Manchester for fans but she is performing in Liverpool and Sheffield.

Today Was A Good Day will be released April 19.
