THIS week’s delve into the picture archives at The Bolton News has unearthed this photograph of a Blackrod Church School team from March 1992.

The information accompanying the picture says the team made it a double success in the Horwich and Blackrod junior schools' five-a-side competition when two sides from the school reached the final without conceding a goal.

The two teams are pictured with their trophies but can you name any players?

Do you remember that team or recognise anyone in the line-up?

Did you play for them or have any memories of winning silverware that season?

Email david.pye@nqnw.co.uk with any recollections.

THE second picture was published in the sporting nostalgia section on January 31 and features the Bolton Lads Club A team from June 1975.

It evoked memories for several readers who go in touch with The Bolton News sports team.

Gerry Luczka recognised himself and emailed: "It was great to roll back the years and see a picture of the Lads Club treble-winning team in 1975.

"I received numerous calls from lads on the photo who got in touch to talk about the wonderful times we had as a group, both on and off the pitch.

"The line up is, back from left, Ronnie Monks, Stuart Bourn, Jimmy Aspinall, Mick Wylie, Billy Williams, Phil Tonge, Peter Cooper and Steve Bourn (manager); front, Keith Lonsdale, Graham Walton, me, Chris McKay, Jimmy McKay, ?? and Ian Luczka.

"Hope this helps and thanks again for reviving so many happy memories."

Keith Lonsdale said: "The team almost swept the board that season, also won a couple more trophies with most of that team with the Bolton Vets Club in the Sunday League.

"We also won a few in the preceding seasons from 1973 and then after 1974/75 carried on winning many more with different teams in Saturday/Sunday leagues.

"The line-up is, back, from left, Ronnie Monks, Stewart Bourne, Jimmy Aspinall, Mike Willey, Billy ????, Phillip Tonge, Peter Cooper, Steve Bourne (manager); front, me, Graham Walton, Gerry Luczka, Christopher McKay, Jimmy McKay, Guiseppa Moncardo and Ian Luczka.

"Hope that fills a few holes in – I think when we lost in the Marshall Cup.

"It was played on Eagley against a team called Oakwood if my memory is still working."
