OSCAR Wilde's classic story The Picture of Dorian Gray had been given a makeover to resonate with modern day audiences.

Dorian, showing at The Met tomorrow night, is an inspired contemporary re-telling of the story with Andrew McMillan taking the themes of image obsession and the desire to capture beauty first explored by Wilde and placed them in a context of a modern gym.

He uses this to discuss the very current topic of body dysmorphia in men, concerns around masculinity, the body, ageing and ways of looking.

The play starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced £12 and can be obtained by ringing 0161 7612216 or visit themet.org.uk
