THROUGHOUT this year we will be dipping into the wedding albums of Warrington couples who have tied the knot and finding out more about the happiest day of their life.

DAN Evans had always told his girlfriend Amy he didn't want to get married.

So when the 29 year old admitted after the big day it was the 'best day of his life' it made everything even more special for his new wife.

The love birds met in April 2014 through Dan's cousin and Amy's best friend.

Amy, aged 29, said: "Dan couldn't believe his luck and I wasn't overly keen.

"Dan was quiet unlike me and his dress sense wasn't the best!

"The more we got to know each other the more I saw how kind, generous and funny he actually was."

Dan proposed in September 2016 in Central Park in New York.

It was the couple's final day of their holiday in the Big Apple and they had gone on a bike ride around the park in 35 degree heat.

Amy added: "We stopped off for an ice cream break and sat on the grass with no one around when he asked the question I'd been impatiently waiting for!"

The Warrington couple got married on June 7 last year at Colshaw Hall in Knutsford and said the day was a 'dream come true'.

Warrington Guardian:

Amy added: "Everything was perfect including the weather.

"The only thing missing was my mum and my grandparents."

After the ceremony, 64 guests tucked into parma ham salad followed by chicken in white wine sauce accompanied by pesto mash and vegetables and gooey chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream to finish off.

Amy added: "My favourite memories of the day are getting ready with my girls and then the moment me and Dan saw each other.

"I couldn't hear anything or see anyone else - just Dan."

The happy pair jetted off to the Dominican Republic four days after their wedding for a two week all inclusive stay which they say again 'couldn't have been more perfect'.

Warrington Guardian:

The newly weds said it was a love of food and travel that originally brought them together.

Amy added: "We both work so hard so that we can enjoy these things together.

"I love Dan because he makes me laugh every single day, he is ambitious and knows exactly what he wants from life and because he's bloody gorgeous too.

"Dan always said he never wanted to get married so I knew I had to convince him otherwise.

"The day after our wedding he admitted it was the best day of his life and that made everything more amazing.
