A WEEKEND of pizza, rugby and music!

Pizza! I know first-hand how important the support we give to our local children’s hospital wards is to children and their families, so it was great to be able to take them a tasty treat last Friday and we couldn’t have done this without the team at Babbo Restaurant in Prestwich.

Babbo generously donated delicious pizzas and ice cream to the children in Ward 84 of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The faces of the children (parents and nurses!) lit up as they munched their way through the mouth-watering food!

Team Babbo are big supporters of the SuperJosh Charity, making us their ‘Charity of the Year’ back in January and they are kindly planning many more ways in which to support the charity over the coming months.

Rugby! Last weekend also saw us give one of our SuperJosh families a wonderful day out at Sedgley Park Rugby Club thanks to Get Driving Today.

Owner Graham hosted a fabulous ‘SuperJosh Day’ at the rugby club and told us. It was a fantastic day, we will always support SuperJosh and their families as much as we can, thank you to Steve and everyone at the club for their hospitality.

Along with some of our team, Lauren, Laura and Charlie were treated to a wonderful meal ahead of the games and after the meal they met the players and enjoyed a rather muddy photo shoot, so they had a memento of their special day. This is the 2nd time this event has been organised and it really does mean the world to the lucky family that attend.

Music! Huge thanks to the incredible support of our Patron Sacha Lord-Marchionne, who very kindly donated 40 tickets for some of our families and team to attend X Factor Live and Fat Boy Slim concerts last week. Everyone had the most amazing time, it’s a really special way to say thank you to our wonderful team and for our families who got the chance to take a step out of their day-today lives and enjoy a fabulous night of entertainment and music — making some very special memories along the way!

What a weekend we’ve had! I’m so very grateful for all the support of our amazing supporters, who go the extra mile to make the lives of those struggling with trauma and illness that little bit brighter.
