A CONVICTED rapist with links to Bury is on the run just months after being released from prison.
Anthony George Smith, from Crumpsall, is wanted on recall to prison for breaching the conditions of his licence after he was released in September 2018.
The 53-year-old was jailed in September 2012 for rape and wounding offences.
He is known to have connections to Bury, Cheetham Hill, Crumpsall and Salford.
Police are now appealing for the public's help in tracing him.
