TWENTY four speeding motorists were caught in just over one hour on a busy Bury road.
The drivers were found out thanks to a new speed matrix sign which has been installed by police in Hollins Lane.
The sign records a vehicle's speed as well as relaying it back and displaying a message such as slow down or a smiley face.
One image released by police showed a car speeding at 44 mph in the road, which is a 30 zone.
However police say the sign in Hollins Lane has helped to cut down the number of speeding drivers.
A tweet from GMP Traffic said: "Installation of a new speed matrix on Hollins Lane in Bury has made a dent in the number of drivers speeding which is great news. 24 motorists were still caught though in just over an hour."
