MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to do 100 hours of unpaid work after he admitting assaulting a police officer on January 12 in Bury.

Benjamin Wilson, aged 22, of Walmersley Road, Bury, was also ordered to participate in 17 days of rehabilitation activities and pay his victim £85 in compensation.

A COMPANY has been fined £750 for failing to identify the driver of a Volvo C30 who was alleged to have committed an offence. Manchester Magistrates also ordered Panacea Motors Ltd, of Tile Street, Bury, was also ordered to pay £160 in costs and charges.

A MOTORIST has been banned from the roads for 18 months after he was caught drink driving.

Craig Bland, aged 38, of Bury Old Road, Ainsworth had drunk twice the legal alcohol limit when he drove a Mitsubishi on Ainsworth Road on August 18 last year. He was also fined £162 and was ordered to pay £160 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to pay £100 in compensation after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Piccadilly, Manchester, on February 22. Patrick O’Brien, aged 38, of Langley Road, Prestwich, also admitted damaging a glass door panel.

A VAN driver has been fined £250 by magistrates and banned from applying for a driving licence for six months. John Parr, aged 37, of The Meadows, Prestwich, was driving a Renault van when he was involved in a collision in Limetrees Road, Oldham, on October 20 last year.

Parr pleaded guilty to careless driving, failing to stop or report and accident and having no licence or insurance. He was also ordered to pay £170 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN has been fined £50 after she admitted assaulting a man on March 3.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Chanice Brabiner, aged 26, of Foxglove Drive, Bury, was also ordered to participate in 25 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £170 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £440 after he was drunk and disorderly outside the Old Tower Inn, Radcliffe on New Year’s Day.

The case against Marc Fletcher, aged 37, of Sandford Street, Radcliffe, was proved in his absence at Manchester Magistrates’ Court. He was also ordered to pay £129 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN who stole £210 from a man and harassed him between February and July last year has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for three years. Danielle Holland, aged 35, of Milton Road, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing the offences and was ordered to pay £210 in compensation plus £320 in costs.

MAGISTRATES have fined a drink driver £500 and banned him from holding a licence for six months.

Jonathan Gillespie, aged 41, of Kingfisher Drive, Bury, was caught driving a VW Passat on February 3 after drinking more than three times the legal alcohol limit. He pleaded guilty and was also ordered to pay £135 in costs and charges.

A DRUG driver has been banned from holding a driving licence for three years by Bolton magistrates. Michael O'Donnell, aged 34, of Plymouth Grove, Radcliffe, admitted committing the offence and driving a Ford Focus on Tonge Old Road, Bolton, without insurance or an MoT on December 9.

He was also fined £450 and must pay £115 in costs and charges.
