THIS week’s delve into the picture archives at The Bolton News has unearthed this photograph of the Brandwood County Primary School team from March 1976.
The information accompanying the picture says the team were Bolton B Section winners in the Bolton and District Junior Schools' football competition.
It adds they beat St Thomas of Canterbury 4-0 at Crompton Fold School in the final.

TODAY’S second picture was featured in the sporting nostalgia section three weeks ago, and is of the Bolton Under-15s team from May, 1995.
There are still recollections coming into us at The Bolton News and reader Shelley Hobday said: "In the picture of the under-15s team, Scott Fairhurst is on the front row in front of the ball.
"To the left of him is Michael Adams, and to his left is Gary Scott."
