Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham will run the Boston Marathon
THE Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham ran in the Manchester Marathon yesterday.
Mr Burnham is training to complete the Boston Marathon on Monday (April 15) and ran half of the Manchester Marathon in preparation.
He is hoping to raise £10,000 for five charities set up in memory of victims of the Manchester Arena attack, including Liv's Trust, set up for Olivia Campbell-Hardy from Bury.
Mr Burnham is also running for the One World Strong Foundation, set up in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing to bring survivors of terrorist attacks together.
